Safer Internet Day 2013
On Tuesday 5th February pupils across the globe celebrated the tenth Safer Internet Day www.saferinternetday.org
This year's theme was 'Online rights and responsibilities' and the key message was to 'Connect with Respect.'
Our pupils explored why and how they access the internet, the pros and cons of the internet and discussed their rights and responsibilities towards others.
They considered the need to behave responsibly online to protect themselves and others by never sharing personal data and treating others with respect.
-If it is not appropriate to say something directly to someone face-to-face, it is also not appropriate online.
-Never share personal details or the details of others without their permission, including real names, address, school, phone numbers and photos.
-Tell an adult immediately if you see something that upsets or worries you.

News
We were in the local paper this week because our Key Stage 2 SATs results were in the Top 50 primary schools in the whole country -
fantastic!
The data which we review and measure each year comes out very late in the term, this news before Christmas is very welcome.
The key data shows us that: the progress made by our children from the start of primary school to the end of primary school is significantly better than the vast majority of schools in the country.
Our standards are very high, progress is very good and we are a very successful Catholic school!
