Year 3

In Computing, we have been learning about creating moving animations. We had so much fun making our own, and we were surprised at how creative we could be with the movements of our characters.

On World Book Day we had a fantastic time sharing books with children in our nursery. They really enjoyed us reading to them, and they shared their favourite picture books with us.

In Science, the children enjoyed investigating whether various rocks were impermeable or permeable. They also examined how easy the rocks were to scratch.

In Art, we applied and blended charcoal when using scale to enlarge our cave-style drawings of native British animals.

Year 4

In Year 4, we enjoyed writing our own Japanese haiku.  We were challenged to write a poem about nature over three lines, using exactly 5 syllables, 7 syllables and another 5 syllables.  We then created a haiga with watercolours which is used to illustrate a haiku.  We were really proud of the results and learnt a lot about poetry!
