In Nursery we have been enjoying our topic ‘Water’ through some of our favourite books The Rainbow Fish and Somebody’s Swallowed Stanley.

During this topic, we crafted a Rainbow Fish, jelly fish, rescued trapped sea life animals, painted under the sea pictures, collected shells and fish with tweezers and magnets, and also looked at the environmental damage of pollution in our world, where we sorted recyclables and used some to recycle into a model.

We also enjoyed a recent visit to Bishop’s Stortford Library where we enjoyed stories, songs and activities.

We helped to plant some flowers in the garden.

Ash class had a lovely trip to the Bishops Stortford Library. We got to have a look around and hunt for characters from the story we had been reading. We got to choose and read books with our adults and sing songs with the Librarians. We had a fantastic time and cannot wait to go back again!

Since returning to school after the Easter holidays, Beech class have been very excited to get stuck into their new topic surrounding the theme of 'water.' To start our new term, we have been exploring the story 'The rainbow fish.' The children in Beech class have enjoyed retelling this story using their phonics knowledge, getting stuck into role play in our new class aquarium as well as identifying oceans around the world using our class atlases.
