Mission Statement

"Live, love and learn in a caring Christian community."

At our school, our mission statement governs everything that we do.  All members of the family of St Joseph's are charged to live out our mission statement at all times and contribute in making our school a success.

At the start of each school year, we reflect on what the Mission Statements means to us, personally, and collectively.  You will see our response to the question: what does the Mission Statement mean to you? on the first page of our RE books.

"The Mission Statement means that we must care about everybody; we always try our best; we pray for others and we are kind to each other because that is how God wants us to behave."  (Abbie, Oak Class)

"The Mission Statements helps me to live in Jesus's footsteps.  The Mission Statement is about being kind, caring and respectful because that is how Jesus was." (Grace, Maple Class)

"The way to live at St Joseph's is to be kind, help people and to be a Christian.  We listen to the Bible to learn about the Kingdom of God." (Matilda, Fir Class)

"To me, our School Mission Statement is about learning to think about others before yourself.  When someone wants to join in a game, we always say 'yes' ."  (Harry, Hazel Class)

"The Mission Statements shows that we are one big Christian family; we learn together, we pray together and we grow closer to God together."  (Evie, Pine Class)
