Our Mission Statement
‘Live, love and learn in a caring Christian community’
Our Mission Statement: ‘Live, love and learn in a caring Christian community’ underpins all we do at St Joseph’s. All members of our school family understand that our Mission Statement is crucial to us creating a community as it shows that we all have a responsibility to each other. Below, you will find some examples of what our Mission Statement means to our children:
“I play nicely and share my toys.” (EYFS pupil)
“It means that we follow in Jesus’s footsteps, and we are kind to each other.” (Year 1 pupil)
“We remember that God loves us all and everyone in school cares about us.” (Year 2 pupil)
“We show respect to everyone, and we make everyone feel included in our school, because everyone is important.” (Year 3 pupil)
“Our Catholic faith helps us to make good choices, because we learn what is right and what is wrong. When someone makes a wrong choice, we forgive them, just like Jesus taught us.” (Year 4 pupil)
“We read Scripture to learn about how God wants us to behave in His Creation. We know that following Jesus’s footsteps means that we treat people with fairness. Jesus always looked for people to help, so we offer help to anyone that needs it.” (Year 5 pupil)
“To me, our Mission Statement means that we are not just a school where we grow our brains; we grow our hearts, too. We are a community because we treat everyone with love, respect and dignity – just like Jesus did.” (Year 6 pupil)
